Captured in Büdir, Iceland, in 2022, this moment is the result of days spent with these horses, earning their trust until they completely forgot I was there. Lying on the ground at their level, I watched as they shared a quiet meal, unaware of my presence.

There’s something human about this scene, two companions, side by side, lost in their own world. Maybe I’m imagining it, but that’s the beauty of photography. It lets us see the familiar in the unexpected. That’s why I named it Romantic Dinner, a simple, intimate moment that feels just like us.
