This photo holds a special place in my heart.

I captured it on my first day of my very first road trip through southern Iceland, in an area called Þingvellir. It was December 2022, and I had just started photographing horses when, right after taking this shot, the rain poured down wildly, putting an end to the day’s photos. That peaceful moment before the storm opened the door for me to start a whole series about this magical island, with a special focus on the beautiful, wild horses of Iceland.
