"Three Horses in a Snowstorm"

This photo is, for now, my personal favorite in the ongoing Magic Iceland series. Though I'm constantly adding new images, this one holds a special place. Taken in late December 2022, around Christmas, it captures a magical moment in Siglufjörður, the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen in Northern Iceland. I’d visited these horses many times, but one night, while struggling with insomnia, I found myself dreaming of them amidst a wild snowstorm. I had this vision in my mind—an image of the horses appearing as though they were flying among stars, almost levitating.

Drawn by that dream, I returned to them in the pitch-dark, the black fjord stretching behind them. There, in absolute stillness, I captured this photo. It’s hard to put into words; there’s something mystical about it, as if the horses were truly floating in the night sky. This image means so much to me, embodying a vision I can barely describe yet feel deeply.
