"Postponed Promises"

Norway, 2023.

This was captured in late October 2023 during my month-long stay in Norway. We stayed in a house built right on the fjord, giving us the sensation of living on a boat. The first week greeted us with relentless rain and complete darkness. Yet, Norway has always inspired me, stirring a need to photograph despite the cold, rain, and ice.

I took this photo during a long drive along a remote fjord, where I stumbled upon an isolated table and chairs. The scene looked like a creature, an insect, a sculpture, a totem, or a quiet celebration. The atmosphere felt mystic, and I returned to capture this setting in different lights—from daylight to northern light. This image has become a favorite of mine, part of the Mystic Norway series created in 2023, and now it can be yours.
