"Auroral Bloom"

Norway, 2023.

What began as a simple, beautiful, starry night on the Norwegian fjords in October 2023 transformed in seconds into a storm of northern lights. It was one of the most mesmerizing nights of my life. The air was calm, no wind, not even cold—everything felt like a scene from a dream. I found myself blinking, almost scratching my eyes, to remind myself that this was real.

This photo, like all my work, is straight out of the camera, created using a simple yet unique technique I’ve developed over the years with colored flash. It captures the aurora borealis in a fresh, vivid way. Life can sometimes be wilder than any imagination or fiction—all we have to do is open our eyes. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do.
