One of my most cherished photographs, Magic Horse holds a special place in my heart. Taken in 2023 on the stunning Snæfellsnes Peninsula in Western Iceland, this image stayed hidden on my hard drive for more than a year. I had never shown it before until I decided to share it on social media, where it was met with incredible enthusiasm and love from viewers around the world.
This photograph captures an extraordinary moment. The connection between the horse and me was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. There was a mutual curiosity, almost hypnotic, that felt surreal. Despite the biting cold and the dark atmosphere, the magic happened. With the help of my flash and the way I approached the scene, the result exceeded all my expectations.
